New leader to leverage live, online medical education platform to deliver outcomes-driven education in Cardiology, Urology, and other related specialties.
BOSTON (PRWEB) APRIL 19, 2018
PlatformQ Health is proud to welcome Jeff Arnold as the new General Manager of Cardiology and Urology. With 20 years of experience in medical education and medical communication, Arnold’s knowledge and background will help him bridge in-person educational meetings with the scale and ease of live, online interactive sessions. In addition to developing educational initiatives for clinicians, Arnold will also lend his expertise to patient education programs.
“I’m thrilled to join the team behind the leading peer-to-peer online education platform,” shared Arnold. “The accessibility and convenience that online medical education offers is increasingly important, as today’s clinicians face more and more demands on their time. Expanding the accessibility of educational information to clinicians improves patient care, and I’m excited to be able to offer rigorous, quality content in the form of interactive online programs.”
Cardiology education is delivered through PlatformQ Health’s learning channel, CardioCareLive, where thousands of clinicians have participated in accredited and non-accredited educational programs. CardioCareLive boasts an impressive array of partner organizations including National Lipid Association (NLA), Joslin Diabetes Center, and The Obesity Society. Partnerships enable the platform to offer free programs with the nation’s top experts like the new series on the new Heart Failure Guidelines, Cardiovascular Disease and PCSK9 Inhibitors education with NLA, Cardiometabolic Disease, and more. Arnold will also deliver education to cardiac specialists through PlatformQ Health’s related therapeutically-aligned channels, like DiabetesSeriesLive, which delivers diabetes education for clinicians in partnership with Joslin Diabetes Center, and ObesitySeriesLive.
Urologists and clinicians involved in urologic care find a similar experience on UroCareLive, where Arnold will also bring a renewed focus. UroCareLive is the home of the LUGPA (Large Urology Group Practice Association) Virtual Crossfire Series, an ongoing series of online programs focusing on clinical and non-clinical topics, like developing an effective advanced bladder, prostate, or kidney cancer clinic, Immunotherapy, financial aspects of practice management and the impact of healthcare reform of practice.
“Jeff is a strong addition to the team, and we couldn’t be happier that he’s joined us,” remarked PlatformQ Health CEO Robert Rosenbloom. “His knowledge and experience are key to our therapeutic strategy and will help us deliver more meaningful education and partnerships in Cardiology and Urology. Beyond that, Jeff knows the real-world educational event space well enough to help bring along those who offer educational programs and haven’t yet tried digital events.”
Arnold will also work closely with PlatformQ Health’s patient education team to develop patient-centered programs for people with cardiometabolic or urologic disease. The first patient education program in the cardiometabolic space aired live on the PlatformQ Health channel, DiabetesCoachLive.com, in March 2018 in partnership with Joslin Diabetes Center.
