It’s been a busy season here at the Q, with many educational programs launching across therapeutic areas. Thanks to partnerships with leading advocacy and membership organizations, we have been able to extend access to our trusted education to even more patients, families, and health care providers.
Program Highlight
We’re particularly excited to share that we’ve kicked off a multi-disciplinary program encompassing diabetes and kidney disease. This is part of a tethered/aligned program featuring a patient program launched on July 10 and a CME program held on July 31.
This patient program was developed in partnership with DiabetesSisters.com, KDIGO, and Joslin Diabetes, who contributed to the early success of the program with strong registration from their members. Joslin Diabetes’ nephrologist, Dr. Stanton, also worked closely with us to bring in patients and patient advocates into the presentation, which led to dynamic patient/provider interaction.
Partnership Showcase
This month, we’re pleased to highlight the work of our partners at the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, who work to empower those living with AMD through education, advocacy, and research funding. The organization helps people to better understand what AMD is, as well what is in their control when it comes to the condition.
It’s not uncommon for those who are newly diagnosed with AMD to face depression. The Foundation provides many educational resources and supportive tools to help people who are new to this journey to address these challenges and live their best lives. Learn more.
Health Equity Content
As you know, diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to our work. We were honored last month to have the chance to sit down with Chrysalis Initiative founder Jamil Rivers to discuss her work to improve health equity. Her story is incredibly inspirational. Amid her own diagnosis of stage 4 breast center, she launched a nonprofit to help other women to counteract breast cancer inequities. Read more.
